Hi, this fund me page has been set up by myself with permission from Dan & Becky, who have been asked by so many kind family and friends on how they can help after them receiving devastating news on little Archie, who has sadly been diagnosed with a extremely rare Disease called Menkes, Sadly with no cure or treatment, All money raised will help financially support Dan & Becky through the very difficult times that they now face, and most importantly the help to make lots of extra special memories. So for everyone who has asked and offered to help thank you so much from us all. Xx

DAN & BECKY’S WORDS -

Becky and I have had our world turned upside down these past few weeks. Now that we are finally home we would like to share some sad news with you.

At the beginning of May little Archie wasn't very well so we took him to hospital to get checked over. Test after test came back OK, but he was still unwell. After ten days of being in hospital we were given some devastating news that Archie has an incredibly rare disease called Menkes.

Only around 3 babies a year are born with Menkes, and it essentially means that his body can't absorb copper properly. Sadly there is no cure for this disease, and even worse, most babies with Menkes are typically given 2-3 years to live.

We are incredibly grateful to the team at Wrexham Maelor Children's Ward who worked 24 hours a day to make sure Archie was getting the treatment he needed. Also to the consultants, doctors, nurses and NHS staff in Bangor, Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham who all played their part in Archie's diagnosis. We would be truly lost without our NHS.

We have spent the last week in Hope House getting some rest and making preparations for Archie to come home, everyone at Hope House have been amazing.

We are now focused on 'making memories' with our little man. The support we have received from family and friends has been overwhelming, we are so incredibly grateful to them.
