Appropriate education for Noah

Hello friends and Family. Last year Noah was not given an appropriate education through PPS. I hired an attorney who assured me we would win our case. However she informed me at the beginning of March, that she would no longer be practicing as of 3/31/18. I’ve already paid her a chunk of money which she was kind enough to refund me. However it is not enough to cover the cost of the retainer the new attorney requires before taking our case. Noahs IEP is April 9th. I need the attorney there. We are seeking compensatory services for Noah which means PPS would be required to pay for and provide Noah with the # of hours of education they denied him last year with a tutor or tutoring service. The new attorney after reviewing the documents and school records also agreed that Noah not only did not receive an appropriate education last year but that he was also  discriminated against.  If you know Noah you know how incredibly special and brilliant he is. His drive and passion for learning and people.When he left middle school he was doing algebra. Freshman year they were giving 1+1 baby work just to fill the time. No reading or writing. No social studies or science as well as other required courses. They had not hired a permanent teacher for his class until February. It was different subs every other day and his IEP was not being followed. None of his accidemic goals were worked on or met. It states it on his progress notes. This would never happen in a gen ed class. The schools idea of rectifying this was to say he could attend school for a 5th year rather then admitt they had blown it and offering to actually come up with an education plan to make up the lost hours. While they are preparing general education kids for college they are only preparing our kids to servive. They have already decided our kids won’t make anything of themselves. We must always assume our kids can!! Not can’t! Then add and take away supports as needed. Our kids have just as much right as gen ed kids to go to college and work in a meaningful job they enjoy and to a fare and free education! 
Help Noah and I make PPS start giving our kids what they deserve. All the same education opportunities as all the general education students. Stop the discrimination. 
Its hard for me to ask for help. But this is hugely important for Noahs Future. I know all who know him love him and see the light that he carries with him everywhere he goes. Help me help him. I’m desperately begging for help.
