Family Devastated by Fire

Beschermde donatie
On Oct 29th, 2016 Jeffery was jolted awake at 6 a.m. in terrifying pain.  His hair and pillow were on fire. The window AC unit had caught fire and it had spread to his bed while he slept. He ran from his room screaming to his mom and two siblings that there was a fire. He made it to the kitchen to get water, but by the time he returned to his room, it was engulfed by flames. They ran out of their home, half-dressed, with nothing but the clothes on their backs. By the time the fire trucks arrived, their tiny rental house was an inferno.

They have been homeless ever since, sleeping on the floor of a one bedroom/one bath home of a friend while waiting on finding another home.
Mayra (Micky) is my friend of 10 years- she and her sisters, mother and grandmother have been a part of our lives ever since we moved to Kingwood.  They have never missed a days work, not even the week of the fire.
Micky never even told me this happened until weeks later, when I simply asked her if she had any use for my sofa.  She smiled and said, "Not right now" and said the word "fuego" which took me a minute to translate for myself.  I pressed her for details, and as she shared her grief, she fell into my arms convulsing in tears.  "God is still good," she said "We are going to be just fine."
I cannot imagine her heartbreak at losing everything she and her three children (Jeffery 18, Michael 20 and Barbie 21) owned-- every baby photo and memory, as well as every single possession (except for ONE BOX which contained their naturalization documents, something she said she thanks God for every day).

I want to help her rebuild her life and I am praying you will help me. I keep thinking, "What if that had been me, what would I do?" I shudder at the thought.
Micki is the kindest person, and devoted mom who has asked me for nothing.  She has NO IDEA I am doing this for her because I don't want to get her hopes up in case I can only get her what I can afford.  I simply told her I wanted to see if I could find some things to help and asked her for a list of her needs.
This weekend she moved into a house she is leasing to own. It came with nothing- just a shell of a house.  A friend of hers gave her a refrigerator and she purchased 3 of the 4 beds they need.  Otherwise she is starting over. She needs a washer, dryer, oven, microwave, lamps, chairs, blender, mixer, heater, AC, blankets, lawn mower, queen sized linens, and items for her kitchen.

Please help me make this a meaningful Christmas for her. I hate that she is hurting so much.  I am going to purchase and deliver whatever I can afford this weekend 12/17/16 because they are living with very little right now and a cold front is coming.  Tomorrow I am taking her the little sofa I have and will measure for appliances. If you have any gently used items that would be great, and a gift of ANY amount will be used to help get this sweet family back on their feet.
THANK YOU for your kindness and generosity!!
