Re-Build fund to be utilized in Little Apple Bay , Tortola.
The photo you see is of Apple Bay the morning after Hurricane Irma. Jose and Maria passed through not long afterwards, fortunately neither of which were anything like Irma. As with any campaign like this it is simply a way for those who would like to assist a local area to get involved.
In Apple Bay we had no injuries to speak of and no fatalities but the destruction is obvious to see.
There have been aid deliveries to the village already from multiple groups which have taken care of food and water needs. There is still no power and no true indication of when it may be restored.
The intent of this campaign is to individually assist homeowners in the Apple Bay area with repair items such as windows, doors, roofing material, etc.
There are larger projects that would impact the community as a whole and be a major improvement going forward into the future but these are not first priority.
Having been in Apple Bay for approaching 30 years and with family and friends in need of a helping hand I'd like to do what I can. On a personal note for anyone who knows me or has interest my homes faired more or less well other than the loss of my childrens two bedrooms, my kitchen wall and floor and a handfull of windows. And the car..... not even sure of it's location currently.
Materials and goods donations to be shipped from Florida are also possible and a great help. Thank you for your time in reading and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or thoughts regarding shipping of goods etc.
