My father had a special ability to listen, to support and to receive the needs of others with an open heart; with warmth, with empathy, and never an ounce of judgment...
He always taught me to give what you can, when you can — a belief that he lived by, a belief that my mother and I were consistently touched by, and perhaps many of you, as well.
Now he needs our help.
Up to this point in his healthcare journey, most elements were covered by medicare and other insurance, and for whatever wasn’t, we were able to bridge the gap.
At this junction, there are costs that are partially but not completely covered. For any family, this can be an expensive and difficult time. Given the fiscal losses our family experienced in the late 2000s, the present need is greater than our remaining resources can stretch.
As I’m sure each of you can imagine — and have perhaps felt along with us during your caring phone calls and visits this year — coping with the changing health of a beloved parent, husband, brother, uncle...is already very difficult. To add to that the fear of not being able to provide the care he needs or cover expenses is an element we are hoping, with your help, to alleviate somewhat.
Our goal for this GoFundMe is $10,000. Anything you may be able to contribute will be deeply felt, deeply appreciated, and will have a direct impact on Vin’s care and expenses.
