LOST EVERYTHING: 4 am house fire

Community of Volunteers has close ties with the local community members of Mineola due to 3 of our associates having been raised there. We have also been blessed to have met Daniela and Alexandra Silva. Their generosity from fundraising and donating clothes and pastries during the holidays have truly helped a number of families in need within and outside of Mineola, NY. However, this past Monday morning at 4:30 am at 155 Grant Avenue in Mineola several units from the Mineola Fire Department were dispatched regarding an overnight house fire. This address belongs to Daniela and Alexandra’s parents Victor and Isabel Silva. They lost everything they owned including everything they brought with them 15 years ago from Portugal. As grandparents with no rental insurance, their struggles to get back on their feet will be very slow and difficult. Please help Victor and Isabel Silva, the amazing parents that raised 2 of the most caring and generous daughters, get back on their feet from scratch.
