Anti-Racism Fundraiser

George Floyd can be heard telling officers that he can't breathe at least 16 times - in less than five minutes - during his murder.    This Saturday we will be running 112 laps of the athletics track (16 laps each), in order to raise money for an anti-racism charity: SHOW RACISM THE RED CARD.

This charity involves the delivery of educational workshops to young people and adults in schools, workplaces and at events held in football stadiums. In addition to the direct education of young people and adults, SRtRC produces educational resources to challenge misconceptions, stereotypes and negative attitudes in society.

It is so important to educate each other on the history of racism, and all of the ways in which it still exists in our society today.

This movement has shown that when our eyes are opened to the truth, action is taken, and changes are made.
