Anti Racism Run Berlin - Anti Rassismus Lauf 2020

Berlin's Wayv Run Kollektiv invites Black, brown and queer people to reclaim the streets of Berlin and to join our Anti Racism Run 2020.
Following the steps and movements of Anton Wilhelm Amo, Amadeu Antonio, May Ayim, Audre Lorde, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Oluwa Toyin Salau and many more, we are standing up against racism. We are raising our voices against racism. We are fighting against racism.
The right-wing protests during Covid have once again showed us that it is a white privilege to move safely through urban spaces. With our Anti Racism Run, however, we want to bring people from the BIPOC* communities together and run under the protection of the group to stand up and move against structural racism.
As athletes and activists, students and teachers, artists and entrepreneurs and citizens moving through spaces in and outside of running, in and beyond Germany, we are taking a stand against racism. With the cancellation of this year's Berlin Marathon, our run gives us an opportunity to raise funds for SANKOFA Kita and GLADT e.V. as we push for progress every single day.

SANKOFA Kita is an Afrocentric and trilingual early childhood program for children between the ages of 1 and 6 in Berlin, Germany. It is a parent-led Kindergarten (Elterninitiative), which means all parents play an active role in the overall management of Sankofa. Sankofa’s pedagogical concept focuses primarily on free and imaginative play. Through this, children are given the opportunity to develop creatively, fine-tune their social skills and confidently own their natural initiative. Movement, arts, music and interaction with nature are other central aspects of our concept.
GLADT is an organization of Black (this should be capitalized), indigenous and persons of color lesbians, gays, bisexuals, Trans*, Inter* and queers in Berlin. We are involved on different levels against racism, sexism, trans- and homophobia, ableism, and other forms of discrimination. A special focus of our work is on the topics of multiple discrimination and intersectionality, meaning the overlap and interactions of different forms of discrimination and their specific resulting experiences.
All funds raised throughout this period will be donated to SANKOFA Kita and GLADT fully.

Das Berliner Wayv-Run-Kollektiv lädt Schwarze, brown, poc und queere Menschen ein, die Straßen Berlins zurückzuerobern und am Anti-Rassismus-Lauf 2020 teilzunehmen.
In Erinnerung an die Schritte und Bewegungen von Anton Wilhelm Amo, Amadeu Antonio, May Ayim, Audre Lorde, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Oluwa Toyin Salau und vielen anderen, setzen wir uns gegen Rassismus ein. Wir erheben unsere Stimmen und Körper gegen Rassismus.
Die rechten Proteste während der COVID-19-Pandemie haben uns einmal mehr gezeigt, dass es ein Privileg von weißen Menschen ist, sich sicher durch städtische Räume zu bewegen.
Mit unserem Anti-Rassismus-Lauf wollen wir Menschen aus den BIPOC*-Communities zusammenbringen und uns gegen strukturellen Rassismus bewegen.
Als SportlerInnen und AktivistInnen, Studierenden und KünstlerInnen, UnternehmerInnen und BürgerInnen, die sich durch Räume innerhalb und außerhalb des Laufens bewegen, in und außerhalb Deutschlands, beziehen wir Stellung gegen Rassismus.
Mit der Absage des diesjährigen Berlin-Marathons gibt uns unser Lauf den Anlass, Gelder für die SANKOFA Kita und GLADT e.V. zu sammeln.

SANKOFA Kita ist eine afrodiasporische bilinguale Kita in Berlin für Kinder zwischen 1 und 6 Jahren. Sie wurde von Eltern gegründet und Eltern übernehmen eine aktive Rolle in der Verwaltung der Kita. Ein Grundpfeiler unseres pädagogischen Konzepts ist das freie, phantasievolle Spiel. Durch freies, phantasievolles Spiel lernen Kinder, sich kreativ zu entfalten, ihre sozialen Kompetenzen zu entwickeln und ihren natürlichen Impulsen selbstsicher zu folgen. Bewegung, Kunst, Musik und Begegnungen mit der Natur sind weitere zentrale Aspekte unseres Konzepts.
GLADT e.V. ist eine Selbstorganisation von Schwarzen und of Color Lesben, Schwulen, Bisexuellen, Trans*, Inter* und Queere Menschen in Berlin. Wir engagieren uns auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen gegen Rassismus, Sexismus, Trans*- und Homofeindlichkeit, Behindertenfeindlichkeit sowie andere Formen von Diskriminierung. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt unserer Arbeit liegt auf den Themen Mehrfachdiskriminierung und Intersektionalität, d.h. den Überschneidungen/Überlappungen und Wechselwirkungen unterschiedlicher Diskriminierungsformen und den damit ergehenden spezifischen Erfahrungen.
Alle in diesem Zeitraum gesammelten Mittel werden in vollem Umfang der SANKOFA Kita und GLADT e.V. gespendet.
