Annis Family Association

Greeting extended family:
By now many of you know about the Annis Family Association. We began in 1998 and have grown, made many new discoveries, and contacted many members of our extended family.

I would like to ask for your help in continuing the work we have ahead of us, so that our family story grows.

As a non-profit organization, all of the money raised through donations, charitable contributions, and fund raisers will be used to:
1. Continue research into the historical lineage’s of all who bear the surname Annis in the United States and Canada and their descendants.
2. Locate and properly mark the final resting places of Annis Family members who lie in unmarked or poorly marked grave sites.
3. Publish and make available to the general public, via publications, the World Wide Web, and digital archives, the accurate genealogical history of all Annis lineage’s that exist(ed)in the United States and Canada.
4. Contact and communicate with members of the extended Annis and collateral families.

We need your help to move forward. At one time the Annis Family Association was a organization that used a dues paying method to help defray costs. Membership now is free for the asking. Most of the cost over the past 30 years to accumulate and verify the vast amount of data that we have on our family has been borne by myself. I am on a fixed retirement income and it is much more difficult to carry on alone.

There are many more of the Annis family than many thought possible. The most common reply I hear is "I didn't know there were so many of us !!"

As a family, working together, we can continue to build upon the story of our family in the United States and Canada. It is a wonderful story and one we can all take great pride in.
