Anna and Eric, welcome to the USA!

Hi, my name is Julie Uhler and I am fundraising for a young couple, Anna and Eric, who recently fled the war in Ukraine and hope to make the USA their “forever home.”

 

I met them because  I registered my home on the website “Ukraine Take Shelter”,  when the war started. I was offering Ukrainian war refugees free room and board - I have extra space in my home, how could I not?

 

Anna and Eric are BRAVE young adults, 24 and 28 years old,  leaving their families, friends and careers behind.

 

Married only two years, they dream of eventually resuming their careers (Finance and Graphic Arts) and raising a family in Charleston.

 

Their goal is to become legal citizens, able to work, drive and pay taxes.

 

Anna and Eric have hired an Immigration attorney, who is processing their paperwork. So far, so good, and they are confident they will eventually receive asylum status, allowing them to live here legally.
