Ann's Road to Recovery
Spende geschützt
If you are taking the time to read this, thank you for clicking on the link and hearing my mother's story.
My name is Taylor Janning and on Wednesday, August 26th, my mother, Ann Olson was lifting a patient at work and heard a pop in her neck. She immediately felt extreme pain in her head, so much so that she could hardly handle it and paged for help. Her co-workers were there immediately and called the ambulance. From there, she was brought to Hutchinson Health, only to find out it wasn't her neck that was the issue. As it turns out, she had suffered injury that resulted in bleeding in her brain which had caused a stroke.
From there, she was airlifted to CentraCare out of St. Cloud and was immediately placed in the ICU. After performing a few procedures, they could not seem to find a hemorrhage or aneurism. Meaning that luckily, her body had naturally clotted the bleed on it's own. She is currently still in the hospital, but is doing much better. She has now been transferred to the neurological progressive unit where she has a stroke team coming up with a care plan for her. Her right side is becoming stronger by the day and she is more conscious and awake now. They will keeping her a little longer to make sure her brain can drain properly. She is still in a lot of pain and has been sure to get lots of rest. With the way she is going, we are hoping that she will be able to walk freely with a walker and won't require much physical therapy. Yesterday, she walked to the bathroom so miracles are taking place! She is just as sarcastic and spunky as she usually is throughout all of this, which gives us as a family the hope we need right now.
With all of this being said, even though Ann is facing life threatening issues, her life does not stop. Her finances continue, along with many other aspects of her life. The reason for creating this page is because Ann currently does not have health insurance, and we need to ensure we can get her the proper meds and care she will need. As a result of all of this, she will be out of work for quite some time and as a family we have come together to provide as much as we can, but it seems it is still not enough. It is very difficult for us to reach out and ask for help, but we know we have to.
If you have stumbled across this and have read this far, thank you. If you cannot afford to donate, we understand completely. Your prayers and thoughts are beyond helpful during this difficult and stressful time. I will try to keep this page updated as often as possible. If you would like to send flowers or a card, feel free to reach out to me directly. Thank you for your time, and have a blessed day.
