Breast cancer runs in my family and it finally caught up to me. Knowing it was a likely encounter does not make it much easier to handle.   After much deliberation and conversations with the family, on November 12th, I had a double mastectomy. Later that night I started hemorrhaging, so they went back in to stop the bleeding. Pathology showed 5 separate areas of cancer in the right breast and, luckily, all lymph nodes removed were clear. 

As many people know, I am not one to ask for help. However, it has been a rough few years for me. Divorce 4 years ago, cervical cancer 3 years ago and now this battle with breast cancer has left me with no resources to pull from and a growing amount of debt. I am hoping to raise $26,000 to help break even after all is said and done.
