Angela Worme

My name is Andrea and this Fundraiser has been set up on behalf of Angela Worme and her daughter, Laurie-Ann in order to raise funds for Urgent cancer treatment required to give Angela a fighting chance to spend as much time as possible with her daughter and grandson Zale.

Last week we received the devastating news that Angela has been diagnosed with a rare form of gynecological cancer. The prognosis has been very difficult for her entire family but Angela is a fighter and fight we will!

Without immediate treatment, Angela has been given around 3 to 6 months (possibly a year) to live, numbers we are not prepared to accept. She will need to go to Antigua to begin treatment as soon as possible but in order to do this we will need to raise at least $100,000 BDS or US $50,000 to pay for the treatment.

Many of you know Angela from Seawell Air Services where she nurtured and mentored many young people fresh out of school like myself. Angela was such a strong role model for so many people and to this day I credit her with my incredible work ethic. She taught us about mutual respect, kindness, compassion and the value of honesty and integrity in every aspect of our lives. Angela always had a kind word for everyone and her joyous disposition was infectious. SAS was always a fun place to work with her at the helm!

In addition to being a Mother to many of us, she is also very close to her wonderful daughter, Laurie-Ann and grandson Zale who is only 8. What we all want more than anything is for her to be able to watch Zale grow up and be able to love and nurture him in the way she has so many others.
