Andres Garami Memorial Bench and Scoreboard

Those who were fortunate enough to meet Andres will remember him for his infectious smile and joyful laugh, for the love he had for his family, and for his genuine care for the people around him. He was always one who valued the community and did his best to give back and help others.

Andres loved nature and the calmness he felt while being on a frozen lake ice fishing, or listening to the sounds of the waves crashing against his kayak during summer. He loved his early morning bike rides with his newly found biking buddies, the domino nights, or just sharing a pound of wings with friends.

And, he loved sports. He saw them as an opportunity to spend time with the family and teach his young boys the value of community, teamwork, respect, perseverance, and work ethic. He was always looking for any opportunities to volunteer and make sports more accessible and enjoyable for all.

The family is going to continue his rich legacy by funding a couple of projects for our community that were dear to his heart.

1)    Dedicate a park bench in his name. The plan is to have a park bench in the Shirley's Bay area, where Andres had many happy memories fishing with family and friends.

2)    Improve a community baseball field where he and Robert spent many hours bonding as father and son.
