My Afghan friend needs money for food ....

Hello, I am Sarah and living in the UK.  My hope is to raise money to enable my Afghan ex-colleague to buy food, pay medical bills and rent.  Naby* and his wife have three very young children.

Having worked and lived in Afghanistan for several years, it is heartbreaking to know that Naby* who worked faithfully to support our NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation), is now stuck inside Afghanistan under the new regime and in a desperate situation. This means that he no longer has work; therefore no money to pay for the basic necessities, including powdered milk for his newborn baby (his wife is unwell and unable to feed her baby).

 

I would like to be able to support Naby* and his family for the next six months, at least, or until the new governing regime make employment possible.

My plan is to spread out the money received, making a monthly payment to the family of between £150 and £200 if funds allow.

 

NO money will be kept for my own use. 

ALL monies received will be sent directly to Naby* via 'MoneyGram'.
