Amy and Jeffrey's family home on Chelham Way in Santa Barbara sustained major, widespread flooding and damage as a result of the incredibly strong series of storms that came through on Jan 10, 2023.
Due to major debris flow upstream and a blocked culvert downstream from their home, what was normally a dry creek quickly turned into a catastrophic situation, with waters engulfing their home and garage.
The family is expecting clean-up and repairs to cost over $200k, which they will likely have to pay entirely out of pocket. They have three children, two of which are 3-year-old twins, and will likely be out of their home for some time.
Photos show just a fraction of the damage sustained, plus a few of the family enjoying this beautiful outdoor space - which they created with their own hands - in happier times.
