Amy Burkholder, a single mom of two boys (Bentley, 5 and Christian, 15) and their cat Blitz escaped a house fire which destroyed half of their home and rendered the remainder of the home unlivable due to extensive smoke damage. While Amy and her family are extremely thankful to God to be alive, Amy is simultaneously faced with overcoming the aftermath of this tragedy ranging from battling insurance companies, ensuring they have a roof over their heads until their home is restored, feeding her family, dealing with the emotional impact, and so much more. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
In the midst of her devastation, Amy has stayed strong and consistent, maintaining her job as a custodian at Trinity Lutheran school in San Angelo, TX. Since the fire, she has been able to find an apartment in San Angelo which granted an exception for her to stay on a month-to-month lease.
Amy puts her faith and family first and is fighting tirelessly to restore her livelihood and give her boys the best life possible. Many people in the community of San Angelo have been a huge blessing to her, reaching out to inquire how they can support them in their time of need. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to provide immediate and short-term financial support, resources and assistance as they begin their long journey to rebuilding.

- Apartment Rent (month-to-month basis until home is restored)

- Costs to restore the home (insurance will not cover the full amount of restoration and repairs)
