This is a memorial and fundraising page for the nicest person I have ever met. I’m honored to have been able to be a part of Amy’s life for the last 16 years. Amy was just 44 years old she was an incredible mother to our daughter Emma.  Amy enjoyed  working with me most days building our business the last 19 years and anything that Emma and I wanted to do it did not matter if she liked it or not she just wanted to spend her time with us.  She took a job working at Faith Preschool for several years just to be close to Emma. Amy enjoyed helping out as much as she could at St Elizabeths school to again be close to Emma. Along the way forming many friendships with the parents but more importantly the other children. She loved them as if they were ours from sleepovers to sporting events Amy treated them all like part of our family. For those of you who met Amy she always had a smile on her face and was happy to help you in anyway. She had an incredible talent at remembering your name and the name of your kids after meeting you just once. She truly cared about others more than herself and genuinely wanted to know how you or your family were doing.  After growing up in Buffalo NY and moving to VA we met at a business event  and I would ask her what made her like me and she told me of the first time we met. I did not remember this meeting but have grown to love the story. I was going to the snack bar and I asked her employee if they wanted anything but I then asked her and she replied yes please Swedish fish if they have them. I was in luck that day they had them and the rest is history. It always seemed strange to me why that was such a big deal but she said it was just so nice that somebody spoke to her and bought her something. Small price to pay for 16 years and the most beautiful little girl I could ask for. That became her nickname from then on Swedish fish.  Amy battled cancer for the last 5 1/2 months never complaining but continuing to make sure Emma and I were doing ok. I have since looked at text messages she sent reaching out to my friends telling them to call me because I was having a bad day or week. That was again just who she was always putting others in front of herself. Amy is survived by her mother Sandra, brother Thomas, sister Tammy and countless nieces and nephews. I could go on and on but this fundraiser is to honor Amy again putting others first. This money will go to support family members in need of financial stability.  We wanted to thank you for the outpouring of calls/texts/flowers/food and support over the last few months it will never be forgotten. Until we meet again baby we all love you
