Amy Beth Larson Memorial Scholarship
Donation protected
In honor of our beloved daughter and sister we have created The Amy Beth Larson Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The first scholarship was awarded 25 years after her death in the summer of 2020. We are gifting $5,000, but our goal is to raise an additional $5,000 so that we may convert it to an Endowment Fund in order to continue awarding scholarships year after year.
Amy was a witty and intelligent young woman who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh.
Amy lost her mother to a chronic illness when she was only 10 years old. A few years later, her father remarried and she was embraced by an adoptive mother. Her own life was tragically cut short in a house fire at the age of 22, only a few months short of her college graduation from Central Michigan University.
She displayed a natural talent for the arts, an interest in politics, loved camping and the outdoors as well as spending time with family and friends. A voracious reader and talented writer, Amy was leaning toward a career in teaching or journalism.
Applicant criteria:
Laingsburg senior
Preference given to those who possess one or more of the following:
Pursuing Journalism, Writing, Women's Studies, Humanities

We appreciate your kindness in donating. Amy was a caring young woman who would want to pay it forward.
