The Strength of a People. The Power of a Community.
This statement holds so true to the circumstances our community is facing today. A few days ago an elderly woman was robbed of her purse while grocery shopping at a local store, only to have the nightmare continue the next day when two individuals came to her home and stole her vehicle. When Neil Dugas, a local fireman and owner of J&K Bar in Algiers along with Clayton Curole of NOLA Autoworks, LLC read the story they immediately reached out to Mrs. Ruth. It was then that they were made aware that she only had liability insurance, which did not cover theft. It was their intentions to pay for all damages and repairs but after a few shares on Facebook, the overwhelming out pour from the community to help was astonishing. It was because of that outreach this gofundme was started.
Mrs. Ruth McAnespy of Algiers has always been a giver and seldom accepted help from anyone. When we told her about the abundance of people wanting to give, her heart was full of joy as she praised the Lord for His graciousness. Mrs. Ruth did not want to deny anyone wanting to help since she has felt so blessed by helping others her whole life. In addition to her gratefulness, Mrs. Ruth has been praying for the individuals whom have wronged her and want only the best for their future.
- The money raised will pay for vehicle repairs, any additional money will go to Mrs. Ruth's monetary needs.
Money received will not be for profit of any businesses listed above.
