AMERICA'S SON CANDLELIGHT VIGIL FOR MISSING AMERICANS (LOCATION CHANGE)

I am David Robinson II, father of Daniel Robinson, a geologist who went missing in Buckeye, Arizona, on June 23, 2021. Since that tragic day, I have dedicated my life not only to finding my son but also to advocating for all families of missing Americans, particularly those from underserved communities who often receive little to no attention.

In the three years since Daniel’s disappearance, I’ve launched the Daniel Robinson Foundation, a robust flyer distribution network, led numerous desert and city search efforts, and supported families navigating the trauma of having a missing loved one. My advocacy has been featured across national platforms, including CNN, Red Table Talk, America’s Most Wanted, Missing Persons, NewsNation, Dateline, the Black News Channel, and many others, helping bring national attention to the ongoing Missing American Crisis.

To take this fight further, I ran for U.S. Congress in South Carolina’s Second Congressional District, becoming the first Black American to run for this seat. My campaign focused on fighting for equity, justice, and legislation that ensures families of the missing have the tools, technology, and visibility needed to find their loved ones and get real answers.

I am now organizing a Candlelight Vigil in Columbia, SC, where Daniel was born and raised, to honor his life and mission, while raising awareness about the national crisis of missing Americans.
