Amelia's Girl Guiding International Expedition

Hello, my name is Amelia, I am 13 years old and I have been involved in Girl Guiding since I was 4.5 years old. I am currently a Guide moving into Rangers this September. I was offered the opportunity to attend a selection camp for a International Girl Guiding Trip to Finland in Summer 2025. I was lucky enough to be selected and I will be joining a group of 14 guides. The cost of the trip is £2250.00 plus preparation weekends and kit.

The main focus of the trip is to provide my service's in helping with the environment and working with the local children. We will be planting trees and helping the local children to adapt their English. This will also be a great opportunity to learn a lot about the culture behind Finland as we will get the chance to visit some cultural places nearby.

As well as this GoFundMe page, I am also going to be doing bake sales, a sponsored walk and many other activities throughout the year.

I am looking forward to this trip as it will give me the opportunity to visit another country, to help others and learn about their culture. This trip will be a fantastic experience that will grow my independence, my confidence, meet and spend time with other girl guides and then use the experience to inspire others.

Money raised from this GoFundMe and other charity events will be used to cover the cost of the trip, the cost of 3 preparation weekends and items required from the kit List.
