Amelia Grace Gunter's Heart Surgery

This adorable little girl looks like a picture of health but what you can't see is her serious heart condition.
Amelia Grace Gunter was born in January 2015 with five congenital heart defects. The largest defect was that the bottom right-chamber of her heart did not form. At three months old she underwent open heart surgery for a Glen procedure to re-route the bloodflow of her heart. On May 31st, 2018 she will undergo her second open heart surgery at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital in Orlando. It will be a Fontan procedure that will replace her stint with a larger stint and further re-route the flow of the blood to and from the lungs. She will be hospitalized for up to two weeks and need a parent with her around the clock. 

Beyond the serious nature and expense of the surgery, the family, including eight year old brother, Chip, will be three and a half hours away from home and unable to work a full work week during her hospitalization and three week recovery at home once she is released. She will be unable to return to daycare for at least three weeks post-operation due to medications and the healing of her chest. As you could well imagine, this all adds to the emotional and financial burden on the family. 

Amelia is a living miracle, and all the prayers have definitely carried this child and her family through the years. I ask you to please continue the prayers as well as helping them out financially in order ease their burden. Any size donations would be greatly appreciated, as are all your prayers.
