Ambulance Transport for Debbie
Donación protegida
First, please allow me to say thank you to everyone for taking the time to read our story. I hope you are all well and safe. This is such a rough time for many and so many people are in desperate need of help during this stressful time in all of our lives. Unfortunately, my aunt Debbie has fallen into this category. Allow me to tell you the story. Debbie has an extensive medical history, but in January she fell extremely ill. Deb was found in her home near death. She was taken to the emergency room where her chance of survival was grim. Our family had begun to prepare for the worst. Debbie spent an extended amount of time admitted to CAMC General until she was strong enough time be transferred to a rehab facility. Since entering the facility, she has fallen and now has a broken cervical spine.
Due to the majority of family being out-of-state and the lockdowns on such facilities, due to COVID19, she has fallen into a deep depression and has honestly lost her will to live. Debbie is a hemodialysis patient due to end stage renal failure. She has become so depressed that even getting her to dialysis has become virtually impossible. She will not get into a wheelchair to even sit up. This is heart breaking to say the least. Debbies daughter, Gina lives in Conway, S.C. and has made every effort to transfer her mother close to her for care. Gina is a nurse and has been working many hours at the hospital. As we all know, this virus has worked our healthcare providers to the core. She wants nothing more than to care for her mother and still be able to provide for her own family.
She has attempted to make arrangements to bring her mother by car and by airline. Unfortunately, Debbie isn’t strong enough to travel by any means other than ambulance. She will need to be sedated to make the long journey and can not sit up for an extended period of time. Debbie does not have private insurance to utilize for the transport and as you can see by the amount we are trying to raise, private pay ambulance cost is very expensive. We hope to raise the full amount however, any assistance helps. This has become a desperate situation that we are struggling to figure out. Thank you so much for reading and hopefully donating to help us get Debbie with her daughter. ❤️
