Alyshia Drake Divorce Fund

A year ago my friend Alyshia revealed that her relationship with her husband had turned from emotional abuse to physical. It had started with little things, throwing things and threatening, bullying. In December last year things came to a head when he hit her while she was holding their 4 year old son. For that and many other reasons - there were roughly 1300 pages of written, photographic and witness testimonial evidence submitted, Alyshia was successfully granted a 5 year domestic violence restraining order. Her battle is not over yet though. In an effort to keep her sweet boy physically and emotionally safe, Alyshia has been battling her abuser in court for custody. She does not want to prevent her son from having a relationship with his father, just to ensure that he is safe in that relationship. Up to now they have managed without legal counsel, but now the child's father has informed her that he has retained a lawyer. She is hoping to get assistance for her own legal costs. She is already paying the full cost of their house, home maintenance, all the bills and the full cost of raising their son. Any amount will help!
