A new school year has begun and again school safety is our top priority. Our purpose is to provide for the need of continuous professional Police security around our elementary school.
The participation we have received so far is only 10% of our school population, and we will need more support from parents and the community to achieve our goal.
On October 9th, 2018 without notice, the City of Fort Lauderdale and the School Board cancelled coverage of the police officer detail that they had provided to fulfill the new state mandate. It is only with donations from parents and the community that we are able to keep officers patrolling our school. The funds we raise go directly to pay the officers.
We need to come together and make the safety and security of our children as complete and powerful as possible.
