Alleviate Financial Stress for Tanya GardnerEvans

Hello Reader! As time continues to dwindle away, I’ve decided to create this GoFundMe to help my mother, Tanya GardnerEvans, with her finances as she goes through a hard battle with kidney failure. After the death of my father and her husband in 2009, my mother dedicated her life to her children. Anything we wanted or needed, she made a way to provide it to us. Even as going as far as making sure we grew up in our family home when there was better options for her. She gave us many chances and spaces for opportunities that it is only fair that I share her story to help her as she has helped me.

It was August of 2016 when she suffered a stroke caused by stress in her home. It was by the grace of God that her son, my brother, found her in a timely manner and was able to contact the police and my grandparents. As she was careflighted to Baylor Hospital, it was unknown if she was going to make it or not. Thank God that she did and suffered from small defects from the stroke.

As time continued to pass, her pain was still consistent and due to her financial situation as a single mother of high schoolers at the time, she was unable to get the exact help that she needed.

Fast forward to the summer of 2021, after struggling with the pain for so long, she leaned on to new a pain relieving medication. This medication caused a bad reaction, which prompted the process of putting her on dialysis.

Currently, she goes to dialysis three times a week and goes to every appointment in hopes that she will receive her kidney soon.

Over the years dialysis has given her back her life, but at the same time taking it as well. As the economy has changed, my mother is in need of financial help to pay for bills that would help her not stress as much.

As a daughter, it hurts to see the pain in my mother’s smile. Or to not hear the grimaces as she laughs. My mother did a lot so my brother and I can be in successful positions and it is saddening seeing her in her current day to day state. I wrote and created this in hopes of raising enough funds to alleviate some of the stress and worries off of my mother. Though we have a blessing of a village, we are in need of help from every village that would like to bless us.

Through it all, we give grace to God for all things and knows that He is the head of our life and household. We lift our eyes to the hills knowing that where we get our grace and blessings from it.
