Contribute in the Memory of Alissa M Pazmino

Hi I’m Dray...

I met Alissa about 20 years ago, in a restaurant in Scottsdale Arizona. At that time, it was impossible to know that I had just met my future best friend, partner in crime, chosen-sister, maid-of-honor, and Aunty to my kids. 

Alissa  had a lot of living to still do...But. during her time here, she definitely touched the hearts of many- some of whom she never actually met.....  

In 2014, while volunteering for various humanitarian causes, my daughter Sasha and I (born 2008) met young women and children who were freed from Human Trafficking and sexual exploitation, here in Arizona... and who definitely deserved a new life and a chance to change their path. During that timeframe, on a visit to a non-profit "Dream Center" in Phoenix, Arizona, there was a situation where some of those children had actually given birth to infants that needed items which were unavailable to them at that moment. Luckily someone from the organization rushed to their need.... but in less than 72 hours,  Bag of Change™ was created to help inspire that change in both the parents and their children's lives....

 

Shortly thereafter, my ‘chosen’ Sister, Alissa Pazmino (1970-2021), joined our efforts to help create real change in these children’s lives. Together we would rally people to contribute to our cause, and then invest countless hours in creating the "Bags of Change" for those children, that included items contributing to their emotional, spiritual and physical growth. 

Alissa found great joy in not just compiling the "Bags of Change" but also in handing them to each individual. For years around the end-of-the-year holiday season, Alissa, Sasha and I would compile unique bags, tailored to the timely needs of those children, and then delivery them to dedicated Charities such as the Phoenix Dream Center.  It is during the Fall Season that we start on our End-Of-Year-Change, which includes the gifting of those "Bags of Change". 

This year, in Alissa's honor, Bags of Chang will be contributed to the individuals at to the Phoenix Dream Center. 

 

We recently partnered with https://www.intentionstick.org to include a dedicated Intention Stick in every bag, to assist the individual in creating meaning intentions for their newfound life.

 

I can not think of a better way than to honor my Sister in her time here on earth. Just recently this year, we were game-planning on ways she could get more actively involved. What an honor, in her absence, to be able to fulfill that desire!

 

We’re not asking you to do what you can’t do; We’re asking you to look inside of yourself, find out what you CAN do…and then do it.
