ALFA (Allum Lane Fields Association) is working to protect Green Belt land off Allum Lane, Elstree that is currently under serious threat of development.
We want to protect this local open land and its wildlife from being lost forever, avoid further road congestion, air pollution, risk of flooding, joining of settlements and more pressure on our infrastructure. See our website www.alfaelstree.weebly.com for more information.
Much time and effort has gone into the ALFA campaign, but we have reached the point where we cannot go much further without professional help. We have met online with Robert Wilson of Impact Planning Services Ltd who has agreed to work for us. He has successfully helped groups such as ours.
His help would be in three stages -
Stage 1 research into whether we have a viable case,
Stage 2 submitting a report to the Planning Department with the valid objections,
Stage 3 representing us at an Examination Hearing if needed.
Stage 1 covers research including green belt, drainage/flooding and traffic congestion/pollution. The detailed report will be shared with ALFA members.
Following ALFA member feedback we feel it advantageous to proceed with Stage 1 as soon as possible and prior to the Local Plan publication, to avoid any necessary further stages being produced too late to impact the decision. Impact Planning's fee for Stage 1 is £2,000 plus VAT (plus Go Fund Me fees of 2.9% and 25p per transaction).
The bank account is taking longer than anticipated to open, therefore, to avoid further delays we have set up this Go Fund Me page.
We need your help to fundraise the money and estimate that a donation of £25 per household would cover the cost of Stage 1.
We hope that you will support us, as without the funding we cannot go ahead.
