Alexandra's Burial and Family Fund

"Alexandra was." It's a difficult phrase. Part of me wants to reminice on this selfless and nurturing girl who filled my life with an endless supply of love and support-- but every other part cannot fathom speaking about her in a past tense.

How can a conclusion be written when the story had only just begun? She was 20. She was moving out. She'd just gotten her new job at Red Lobster that she was so incredibly happy with. She was talking about going back to school. And about writing more songs on her ukelele and keyboard... About her future.
Then she wakes up, gets in the shower, and while sitting underneath that spray, for seemingly no reason, all those plans suddenly become obsolete?

Life is short, but this... this is never what I imagined.

Alexandra was a good person. A truly good person. It is not an exageration when I say I cannot think of a single flaw in her character. She was the big sister I never had. The best friend I could laugh to tears with. The pseudo-therapist who would lay awake with me all night just to listen to my useless ramblings and give her sincere thought-out advice (which was always right, by the way).
I was fortunate enough to spend 7 years with her by my side. It wasn't enough time. She didn't get enough time.

But if today has proved anything to me, it is how much love she managed to cram into the time she was given.

Her house was a home crowded with people she'd touched over her years-- people who had dropped everything and come to grieve with her family as soon as the news struck. Even as I left late in the evening, more were pulling up to the curb.
In her twenty years, she knew how to love people in a way that some cannot figure out in one hundred.

Please, if you are able to give anything, we need your help to give this beautiful young girl a proper farewell. Also, as unfortanute as it is, moral support alone cannot get her family through this painful time. Living expenses on top of necessary medical expenses to prevent any more trouble in their time of healing quickly add up to a stressful amount.
The goal is ambitious, yes, but anything you can contribute-- big or small-- would be immensely appreciated. We promise not a cent will go to waste.

Please. We need to take care of Alexandra, and she needs us to take care of her family.

Donations will be handled by myself and Alexandra's sister, Marianna Tonas.
