Alexander Garcia

Baby Alexander was born in November and had a pre-natal diagnosis of Down Syndrome. Upon birth he spent just under 3 weeks in the hospital with respiratory complications, and monitoring for a valve in his heart that hadn’t closed. He was released to go home after 18 days and was doing well up until a week ago when he stopped eating and lost the ability to clear his bowels. After trying home remedies without any luck, His Mother Mariah brought him to an emergency pediatric appointment in which she was told to take him to the emergency room. Upon arriving to Saint Anthony hospital he was transferred to Riley Hospital where had to have an emergency Colectomy to remove his colon. Alexander was diagnosed with Hirshsprungs diseases, typically diagnosed at birth but in some cases can take months or years to develop. Alexander just underwent his second surgery not even 24 hours after his first, to have a tube placed to remove remaining fluid from the body. His intestines have been extremely impaired by his Hirshsprungs disease and he may need surgery again to get some
Of his intestines removed. Sweet Alexander is in critical condition and the purpose of this go fund me is to help his parent concentrate on being there with him, and not worrying about the gas for traveling to and from The hospital, as well other home bills while they are away from home and in the hospital with Alex. The future isn’t clear at this point, but Alex is a fighter and his parents want to do everything they can do give him the best life possible.
