This memorial fund is in honor of our dear friend, Alex Hedquist, who passed away earlier this month. Alex touched so many people (yeah he did) at various points in their lives. But seriously folks, he was a truly unique, creative, thoughtful, supportive friend and son. He should not have gone out last night.
This fund will be used to help Yojimbo, Alex's ferocious and beloved cuddly demon cat, get settled in to his new adoptive home with all the treats. It will also ease the burden of some of Alex's final expenses. Any remainder will be donated--to his family or a charity of their choice.

**Update: WOW! Alex's loved ones are so incredibly generous that we reached our initial goal in about 12 hours. We raised the goal here in order to explore the possibility of donating a memorial bench to Alex's long-time summer camp, in addition to all of the uses above. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
