Alaynah Rossiter
Our footy club are staring this fundraiser for Alaynah Rossiter. Alaynah is the daughter of Brodi and Allira. Brodi played footy in trundle and attended school in trundle as well.
Alaynah was born in late June and from the start of her life has had complications, Cystic fibrosis being one of them. . Alaynah was born with meconium ileus. At 3 days old she had 30 cm of dead twisted bowel removed and she also had 2 stomas. Alaynah had her bowels re-connected last Monday and is recovering well.
Cystic fibrosis is a life limiting inherited disease that damages the lungs and digestive system. Alaynah's lungs are fine at the moment , she has chest physio every day and will have to continue this the rest of her life. She takes creon every time she is fed (again for the rest of her life) to help her digest fats as she is pancreatic insufficient.
Once the family is home they will have to go back to Westmead monthly for check ups. As you can read not only is this emotionally distressing for this young family but financially crippling. Doesn't matter if you can only afford $1, every cent is helpful.
