Ajuda a Sofia a pagar a cirurgia ao pé

Olá, o meu nome é Sofia!

A minha história começa na barriga da minha mãe. Sabes quando o bebé dá a volta na barriga para se posicionar para nascer? Eu quando dei a minha, fiquei com o pé preso na costela da minha mãe. Desde pequena que não sei dar cambalhotas.

Ao nascer, os médicos e a minha mãe deram conta de que eu nasci com o pé completamente torto. Aí começaram as minhas idas mensais ao médico.

"Vai ser operada, não vai ser operada", "precisa de bota, não precisa de bota". E assim foi a minha vida até aos 2 anos.

Depois de muita fisioterapia feita pela minha avó, e de muitas consultas, o médico chegou à conclusão que eu estava curada, sem qualquer tipo de cirurgia ou correções.

Enquanto o pé era pequeno quando eu era bebé, ao crescer notei uma grande diferença em relação ao outro, mas completamente pelo contrário. Neste momento, o pé direito (o que nasceu com o problema) calça pelo menos dois tamanhos a cima do meu pé esquerdo. Sempre tive dores no pé, mas nada fora do comum. Sempre vivi uma vida decentemente normal, até recentemente.

Há cerca de um mês comecei com dores no pé, e eu pensava que seria apenas de cansaço, visto que o meu trabalho exige com que eu esteja 8 horas (ou mais) em pé.

Mas infelizmente não é esse o caso. As dores têm vindo a agravar, de dia para dia, e decidi marcar consulta através de um hospital privado, visto que no público iria demorar muito tempo até ter alguma resposta.

Após a consulta, descobri que o meu osso está completamente plano, enquanto o pé necessita de ter uma curvatura, para além de que o osso está torto. O médico disse que no meu caso, apenas com fisioterapia não iria chegar lá. Era necessário uma cirurgia.

Então, o médico quer prosseguir com a operação, o mais rápido possível, antes que a situação agrave e para eu também conseguir aguentar um turno de 8 horas no trabalho, sem estar constantemente a ter a necessidade de me sentar.

O médico marcou a operação para dia 24 de Agosto.

Após ver e saber os custos de uma cirurgia no hospital privado, e sabendo que através de um público eu teria que esperar imenso tempo (que não tenho, porque pode vir a ser prejudicial para mim), decidi criar este crowdfunding e pedir a vossa ajuda na minha operação!

Infelizmente tenho que pagar uma grande renda de casa, e a ajuda dos meus pais já vai ser preciosa, mas com um irmão desempregado devido ao covid, toda a ajuda é bem vinda.

Agradeço mesmo do fundo do coração a quem quiser ajudar. Acredito que o mundo é feito de boas almas, e que a lei do retorno existe. Hoje por mim, amanhã por ti!

My history begins when I was still inside my mom's womb. Do you know when the baby turns upside down to get ready to be born? Well, when I did that, I got stuck on my mom's rib. I was a mess at doing cartwheels already.

When my mom gave birth, they noticed that I was born with my leg and foot completely crooked. That's when my monthly visits to the hospital started.

"She needs surgery, she doesn't need surgery", "she needs a correction boot, she doesn't need a correction boot". That's how my life went until I was 2 years old.

After a lot of homemade physiotherapy done by my grandmother, the doctor came to the conclusion that I was healed, without any type of surgery or correction.

Whilst my foot was very small when I was a baby, I noticed a huge difference between my feet while I was growing up. Right now, my right foot (the one that's problematic) wears about 2 sizes up than the left foot. I've always had pain, but nothing extraordinary.

I had a pretty decent life, until recently.

About a month ago, I started feeling a lot of pain on my foot. I thought it was just the fact that I was tired from work, because I work 8 hours a day (sometimes more), standing up.

Unfortunately, that was not the case. The pain started to get worse, day by day, and I decided to schedule an appointment at a private hospital, because if I went to a public one, it would take a lot of time until I had some kind of answer.

After the appointment, I found out that my bone is completely flat, when you normally need some kind of curve. Besides, the bone is also crooked. The doctor also told me that with only physiotherapy, it wouldn't work at this point. I need to do the surgery.

So the doctor will proceed with the surgery, as soon as possible, before the situation gets even worse. He also wants me to be able to have some life quality, and for me to be able to work my shift at work normally, without pain. With that being said, the doctor scheduled the surgery for the 24th of August.

After knowing the costs of the surgery at a private hospital, and also knowing that I would have to wait a long time if I wanted to do the surgery at a public hospital (time that I don't have), I decided to start this crowdfunding in order to ask you guys some help!

Unfortunately, I have an expensive house rent to pay, and my parents will help with everything they can. But with my brother being at home, jobless due to Covid, every help we can get it's really welcome!
