Bring Bailey & Kylie Home - #BringBaileyKylieHome

Imagine yourself as a mom of two beautiful and sweet identical twin 2 year olds girls.  You delivered them as preemies. You stayed with them through the NICU. You’ve moved halfway across the country with them to return to your hometown in Oregon.  You’ve been there for every milestone, almost every diaper change and bath. You’ve never been away from them.

Then your fiance breaks up with you, and tell you he’s returning to his home state of North Dakota.

He asks to take your girls back with him for a one week visit.  He wants to work out custody and visitation schedule outside of the courts.  He (or a relative) buys the airline tickets and he gives your all the flight information going and RETURNING.  He even writes it on the families whiteboard so it won't get lost.

...BUT THEY WERE NOT ON THE RETURN FLIGHT.  No one ever bought return tickets.

HE LIED!!

My name is Bill Genske and I’ve created this campaign to help my adopted daughter Kiyanna get her twin girls, my beautiful granddaughters, back home to Oregon.  Creating this campaign and asking for help is one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done. I’ve lived my life believing the world is what we make it.  If someone is broke down on the side of the road, you pull over and offer assistance.  If I have a few bucks and change in my pocket and someone is asking for help, it theirs.  I’m a proud Navy Veteran and Eagle Scout. I believe if you see something wrong, you fix it.  I’ve been told I’m stubborn.  I believe if you want something done right, YOU DO IT YOURSELF.  So asking for help is out of my character.

Our story is below, but if you are short on time scroll down and focus on what is bold.

In early 2018, my daughter Kiyanna and her fiance expressed a desire to move to Oregon and be closer to us and other family.  So we began talking options, moving truck, rental truck, flying the girls and Kiyanna or have them along for the ride, and so on.  The most cost effective plan was to hook up a trailer to my truck and go and get them. A two day drive to ND, one day of final packing and loading, and then a 3 day adventure back home to Oregon.  The twins were only 6 months old and just learning to crawl.

The plan was for them to live with myself, my best half and girlfriend Crystal (aka Mom or Mawmaw to Bailey and Kylie) and our other kids still at home until they got on their own two feet.  During that time I learned what a tremendous mother Kiyanna had become. Her fiance… to be kind I always had hope he would improve. During their stay at our small family farm Bailey and Kylie learned to walk chasing after a duck or a chicken, or even one of the cats.  It was great watching them enjoy country life and a large back yard. I doubt I will ever find the collection of silverware they took with them out into the yard and forgot to bring back… Oh look a butterfly.

To make a long story short, eighteen (18) months later her fiance broke up with her after making a short trip back home.  During those months he never kept the same job for more than a few months, always quitting for one reason or another.

After he failed to return the twins as he had agreed to, I used what little savings I had to send Kiyanna and Crystal on an airplane to go and get them.  I only purchased the tickets after he told us his family lied to him about the return flights and he agreed to meet them at the airport to send Bailey and Kylie home to Oregon with their mom.

Guess what?   HE LIED AGAIN !!!  He never showed up at the airport after failing to meet them at the hotel they were staying at overnight.  Kiyanna even got the local police involved who said without a court order there was nothing they could do. But they did call him and ask what his intentions were and he said he was bringing them to the airport.  Having ZERO funds left and basic economy tickets had Kiyanna stayed she would have been stuck in ND. I was amazed that American Airlines even held the plane an extra 20 minutes to give him extra time to show up.

My daughter Kiyanna is a wreck and lost without her daughters.  We’ve missed Thanksgiving with them. We have a chance to get them by Christmas if you can help.  What little facetime Kiyanna is given by her ex with Bailey and Kylie they cry as soon as the see her, they look so depressed, they only speak single words, but when they left they were forming sentences.

I hate doing it but when you live paycheck to paycheck and I’m sure many of you understand the expression “robbing Peter to pay Paul”.  In this case I didn’t pay the end of November or beginning of December bills to be able to pay half of the retainer for an attorney who is willing to split the $2000 amount over 30 days and two payments.  Christmas presents for the family here will be lighter than usual which is okay because all they want for Christmas is Bailey and Kylie home. Most of them are teenagers and don’t even believe in Santa Claus anymore.  I still do… they’re just being know-it-all teenagers and will come around when they have kids of their own.

Court papers have been filed and should be signed by the judge any day.  After that her ex gets served. At that point we have every legal right and court orders to go and get them.

Airfare this time of year is VERY EXPENSIVE.   They best I can find is $469 to $1000+ per seat per way.  To go and get them by air will be $3000 or more, assuming $500 per seat which is selling out fast.  Amtrak is about half the cost plus a rental car, and to consider driving from Oregon to North Dakota… I wouldn’t risk their lives driving that far this time of year.

My biggest fear if we can’t go and get them after he’s served… He flees North Dakota with Bailey and Kylie to somewhere else in the United States and they become missing persons.  Why do I believe this is possible?  His history of lying and unwillingness to work out custody the correct way is why!

The remainder of the attorney’s retainer $1000 is due at the end of December.  If he contests and we go to trial… OUCH! Much more!

I’ve already spent
* $1000 for half the attorney’s retainer.
* $2000 for airfare, hotel, meals, and airport parking in November.
* $59 to crowdfundingexposure.com to share my GoFundMe.  Don’t do it because they’ve done nothing to date (12/12), and don’t respond to support emails (and their server is in Romania and their twitter account suspended)

The only way I could pay for the flight to North Dakota and back was to use the $1500 savings I had which were to repair my truck.  The same truck that brought them to Oregon originally. I’ve done everything I can think of and stretched my budget down to the wire, possibly too far.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this.  Please help if you can. Please share if you can’t.

God bless you all!  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

One last final words.  Her EX’s answers to Kiyanna’s question “when will I see Bailey and Kylie again.”

“When you move back to North Dakota”

    “When I need a babysitter”

    “NEVER”

Again, Thank You
