As many of you know, Aimee was in a horrible car accident on March 8, 2021 that she is lucky to have survived. Even though her body was broken, all she cared about immediately after the accident was if anyone else was hurt and if she had any of her many foster animals in the truck with her. This will not surprise anyone who knows her.
My dearest friend of 50 years has dedicated most of her adult life to caring for others. Whether she is trying to make a match between two people she thinks are perfect for one another or she is rescuing another animal in order to find it a furever home, Aimee gives all of herself. Now, she needs us to give back.
Since she is not one to ask for help, I am asking for her. Aimee spent 9 days in the hospital where she had 3 surgeries to repair her broken wrist, broken leg and shattered hip. There are rods, pins, plates and screws holding all of these broken parts together while she heals. She also had a concussion, head laceration and bruised ribs. Aimee is currently at a rehabilitation facility (day 17 as I write this on 4/3) and will be there at least another week. Once she is able to leave the rehab facility, she will have months of out-patient physical therapy, occupational therapy and counseling. Because she is not working, she has no income stream. She has a mortgage to pay and utility bills, not to mention the mounting medical bills. Any amount you can spare will be greatly appreciated.
If you prefer to donate another way, please get in touch with Aimee via email or text. Thank you so much for caring - Linda
