Aid Kathleen's Battle with Terminal Cancer

Support for Kathleen

“6 to 18 months to live”

A statement you hope never to hear.

Kathleen is a single mom to 2 wonderful girls, Deanna (22) and Kayla (20) who are both college students studying to enter the health care profession.

She received this awful message from her doctor just a few weeks ago.

Kathleen’s #1 priority since her divorce 9 years ago is her girls.

She is a hard working humble woman and providing for her girls is all that matters.

Kathleen went to the emergency room on Aug 8th with a pain in her stomach and was admitted. After 1 week in the hospital, she was diagnosed with colon cancer, a tumor in her stomach and that the cancer had spread to her liver and blood.

After the shock wore off, Kathleen bravely decided to start a heavy protocol of chemotherapy which may grant her more time. While there are no guarantees, for the sake of her daughters she is going to give it a try.

Too weak with anemia and the side effects of her cancer, Kathleen can no

longer work. She has been a cosmetologist for the past 40 years and most

recently spent 10 years at the European Wax Center in Westwood, NJ.

Tragically, even though she qualifies for unemployment and social security disability, this will not be enough to cover her medical and living expenses.

Ellen, Rose and I have been friends with Kathleen since we were all in

the 4th grade together at Immaculate Conception Elementary School

in Secaucus, NJ. We have been friends for 50 years and despite our

life circumstances and miles, we always stayed close. When we were all together in North Carolina a few years ago, we all got a 4 Leaf Clover tattoo to celebrate our friendship and love for each other.

Our goal is to support our dear friend with this Go Fund Me campaign to ease the stress of worry about her lost income., and to support her monetarily while she fights for more time with her precious daughters.
