Hey, we are the Mathis family. On September 27, during Hurricane Helena, we lost our home. We had two trees fall on our house. It was deemed a total loss by insurance. FEMA has not helped us in any way at all. I've been out of work since then due to a concussion from being hit with rafters and a tree. My wife and 3 kids were all in the house when it happened. Myself and our youngest daughter were knocked unconscious. We are thankful to all be alive and together.

Our living situation is tough right now with 3 teenagers, my wife, and I, and our dog living in a camper. Unfortunately, bills keep coming and stacking up. Both of our vehicles are damaged. It's been a tough time for the past couple of months, but we are resilient and doing the best we possibly can. Right now, we just need help to get through this tough time until I can get back to work and our house gets built. Thank you.
