Aid Andy's Fight Against Illness and Homelessness

Finding a place to stay during the holidays is difficult at best. We don't have to look further than the nativity scene. The inn was full, and the alternate accommodations were humble. This year, many people, such as my friend Andy Lindquist, will struggle to find even the most humble of shelters.

Andy is an accomplished musician with over 50 albums. He has played with such bands as Heart, Sly and the Family Stone, members of the Steve Miller Band, and many more. However, his career as a musician has sometimes been sidelined by a rare autoimmune disease called Behcet's Disease. Behcet's Disease affects vision, arthritis, and strokes. Andy has suffered from several large debilitating strokes and continues to have "mini-strokes" frequently.

Where does that leave him today? Typically, Andy views himself as a positive ray of light, calling himself and his friends "positrons." But a variety of factors, including a move back to Minnesota, has left him exhausted, with pneumonia and other health factors, and now homeless. We are fundraising to help Andy find stable housing and support his medical needs during this challenging time.
