Hello world, This is Lynda El kadi,I'm fundraising on behalf of my dear childhood friends Asmaa's and Awni's family, they are confronting an extremely difficult situation in Gaza and there's an urgent need to evacuate from Gaza to Egypt via Rafah border.
Here is Awni's message
My name is Awni Abu Ayesh, I'm 22 years old, I was born and raised in gaza, I'm writing to you with a plea for urgent assistance in saving my family from the horrors of the ongoing war in Gaza. With each passing day, the violence escalates, and the danger to our lives becomes increasingly unbearable.
My family members are: my father, Ibrahim (50), my mother, Siham (50), my sister, Asmaa (24) and my brother, Yazan (16), Elyanna (8)years .
Our home has been destroyed, and we have been forced to flee multiple times in search of safety, only to find ourselves once again facing the horrors of war.
Before the Gaza war, my family's dreams were filled with hope and aspirations for a better future. We dreamed of a peaceful and prosperous life.
My parents dreamed of providing us with the best possible education, so that we could pursue our passions and fulfill our potential.
But the outbreak of the Gaza war shattered our dreams, plunging us into a nightmare from which we struggle to awaken.
Leaving our home in Gaza city was an experience filled with pain and anguish as we confront the harsh reality of displacement and uncertainty about the future. Yet, in the face of imminent danger, we had no choice but to leave.
We first sought refuge in Khan Younis at a family member's house, hoping to find safety. However, even there we faced danger multiple times and with each passing day the danger grew more and more until the day we got evacuation warning to flee from Khan Younis.
With heavy hearts, we made the difficult decision to move once again for multiple times seeking for safety.
Our journey then took us to the last destination in Rafah we clung to the hope that Rafah would offer us a temporary reprieve from the violence that had engulfed our lives.
But even in Rafah, the threat of danger was ever-present, and we lived each day in a state of heightened alertness, never knowing when the next bomb would fall or when gunfire would erupt in the streets. Our lives became a constant cycle of fear and displacement, as we struggled to find stability amidst the chaos of war.
I cannot bear the thought of my loved ones being subjected to this senseless violence any longer. The trauma and devastation we have endured are beyond comprehension, and I fear for the well-being of my family with each passing moment.
Escaping from Gaza has become a matter of life or death for us. The constant bombings, destruction of homes, and loss of lives have left us with no choice but to leave Gaza strip through Rafah border primarily controlled by Egyptian government, each family member must pay $5000 in order to be add to the departure lists at the Rafah crossing border, The funds will be sent to me by Lina Hamed to support travel expenses from Gaza to Egypt via Rafah crossing border. Additionally, the funds will be used to cover accommodation and basic needs.
Please, do not let us become statistics of this senseless violence, time is of the essence, and every moment that passes brings us closer to danger. I humbly implore you to heed our plea and extend a helping hand to save me and my family from the nightmare of the Gaza war.
Thank you for taking time to read my message.
With deepest gratitude and hope,
Awni
