Shelly Melancon Mission Trip to Haiti

Dear friends and family,
Can you envision a land where one in three people lives in poverty? A place where the basic medical and physical needs are unmet because of the inability to obtain proper medications and assistance?
I want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity God has presented to me. During August 4 - August 9, 2014, I will be traveling to Jacmel, Haiti with a team from Bethels Global Reach Inc. a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization. Our five-day trip will focus on ministering to spiritual, physical, and medical needs of our brothers and sisters in Jacmel, Haiti.
I'm excited about the opportunity and experiences that lie ahead.
As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. I need to raise $2,500.00 by July 25, 2014. Your support in this endeavor will reach far beyond your check book and make an eternal difference in the lives of the people of Haiti. I would be very grateful and I hope you see the value in what we will accomplish. Most importantly, I also ask for your support through prayer. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God's lead. Without prayer, nothing can happen.
I look forward to doing God's work in Jacmel, Haiti and letting you know all about how God has worked through this team upon my return in August.
