African Midwives to save Mums & Bub

Donation protected
I am returning to  Africa in January 2018 as a volunteer Midwife and need assistance in raising funds to purchase educational tools and equipment. The areas where I have worked previously are in rural Ethiopia. My role is primarily to mentor and upskill the national midwives in remote Villages, to reduce Mother mortality. Currently the alarming statistic for mother mortality in Ethiopia is 800 deaths per 100,000 births. In comparison to Australia mother mortality is 1-12 deaths per 100,000 births. The major cause of deaths is remoteness and lack of access to medical assistance. By raising the bar in remote birthfacilities and initiating Train the trainer programs then the National Midwives can expand their practice to reach remote Villages and offer safe Maternal care.
The not for profit organistion that I volunteeer with is "Maternity Africa".
The training institutions of Midwifery in rural areas are extremely poorly resourced . I know the difference it made for me as a student midwife in Australia  to have access to wonderful teaching tools. It improved my ability to learn and understand the art of Midwifery  tenfold. I have witnessed the amazing success of using teaching tools in Ethiopia which I then donated when I left. Please help me to make access to these Midwifery teaching tools a reality at my next posting in Africa. The Midwives and mothers say thank you.
