Santa's Mailbox

Hello!
Think back to when you were young, do you remember  the pure joy and excitement  you had while writing your letter to Santa Claus? You couldn't wait to  drop it in the mail box  and wait as patiently as a child could wait to get your letter back from the North pole!
Here in Corpus Christi, Tx my wife and I  wanted to  help spread the magic and joy of Christmas with  Santa's Mailbox. 

Santa's Mailbox is a safe place that children can experience the magic of Christmas by sending a letter to Santa Claus and receiving a personalized letter back from him!

 

 For the past 8 years my wife and I put a large red Mailbox outside of our home. Children of all ages  come and drop off their letter into the mailbox. Children get to dance to some Christmas music, take a picture as Frosty , as well as  play in some south Texas snow (bubble machine)!
 we read and personally respond to each and every child or adult that leaves a return address.  last year we received  a little over 800 letters from children all over the world! some of these letters that we receive we just get a list of items they want. Some of the letters will warm your heart by asking what Santas' favorite cookie is, and then you get some letters that break your heart. With the way  these last few years have been, a lot of families are going through some hard times to where they cannot afford to give their child a Christmas.  We try to help as many struggling families that we can  by providing a few toys to go under their tree, some Christmas decorations or even a tree!

  Since Santa's mailbox  is a 100% free experience we have people that ask how they can help or donate to Santa's Mailbox. After doing some thinking of how people can help, we decided to set up a  Go Fund me page. The funds that we receive will go towards  stamps to mail the letters back to the child, as well as support to purchase toys  for some of the families that are struggling.  As we get more and more letters each year its getting harder to keep up financially while working on a mechanics and teachers salary. We do not want to stop sending  letters out, so we were hoping that others will come along beside us so that we can continue to spread the magic of Christmas far and wide!
