AES School Lunch Debt Relief

School lunch debts have become an issue across the nation.
Horry County Schools have nearly $100,000 in student lunch debt. You may be surprised to hear that AES's share of that debt now stands at $3,500.
We are local community members and business owners that are looking to help give these local children back their access to a hot lunch. While Horry County Schools has said that all students receive a meal whether they have a debt or not, it is not a hot lunch. Children that have outstanding debt are given a PB&J as lunch, which isn't a bad option but when you consider that for some of our local kids school lunch may be the only time they receive a hot meal, we should and can do better.
Please help us give our most vulnerable the access they deserve to a hot meal each day at school. We will be raising funds from now until the first of the year. You can donate to our cause here or drop off donations at Golden Town Pharmacy ( 2837 Highway 501 E, Aynor, 29511). Every little bit helps and if you have questions in regard to the lunch program at AES or Horry County Schools, please feel free to contact them directly.

My Name is - Andrea White and I am a parent of 2 AES students (3rd and 5th grade). Myself and a couple other parents have combined to try and collect this outstanding debit. I will be withdrawing the funds into my personal account and adding them to the total of our other collected funds to be transferred to the school by the end of Jan 2020. Thank you.
