Long road to recovery

On Oct 29th at 6:15 a.m. Amy Johnston was involved in a motor vehicle accident.  Amy was rushed to the emergency room at Bay medical hospital in Panama City Florida in critical condition.  After review Amy was found to have bleeding and swelling on her brain ,left broken femur bone, and broken Pelvic in 2 places. With in a few hours Amy was transported to Sacred heart medical center in Pensacola Florida to be cared for by a neurological team of doctors and surgeons. 

To date November 3rd 2019
Amy has had surgery to place a rod in her left leg to to repair her femur.

Monday November4th Amy will have surgery on her pelvis to install plates and screws to repair the compound breaks. 

 Amy is fighting everyday, she is still
unconscious, but day by day she is responding to verbal commands such as wiggle your toes and squeezing your hand. She has not been able to open her eyes as of today Sunday the 3rd of October, but she try’s. 

Amy has a very long road of recovery ahead. There is no way to tell how long she is going to be off her feet and when or if she will be able to return to work.
