Blessed Hope is a year long residential discipleship program that is bringing true hope to ladies bound in various addictions by introducing them to Jesus Christ. With a 65% success rate, broken women spend time in His Word becoming the women that they were intended to be by our Heavenly Father. Sin and selfishness in the form of drug use, alcohol use, abortions, sexual immorality, adultery and many other things have stolen life from these ladies and destroyed them and their families.
Blessed Hope brings new life and restoration through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Blessed Hope is a Christ centered facility where the women learn to accept the Biblical message of becoming a new creation in Him where old things have passed away, and all things become new. 2 Corninthians 5:17.
Blessed Hope is not state funded and rely's mainly upon the tuition payment of each lady. The women begin each day in God's Word, attend a morning work project, have lunch, then afternoon study of Proverbs, work project, dinner, memory verse, evening bible study and one hour of free time. They receive teachings from Pastor Ken three to four times a week in addition.
We know that success comes from the time that the ladies are in God's Word. Work projects are beneficial in teaching women life skills, keeping their hands busy, and helping with costs however, it is our heart that God's Word would always be the central focus of the Blessed Hope program and we are unable to pick up any more work projects without taking away from the time spent in God's Word. Blessed Hope needs to bring in more income to continue operating. With this being said, we are asking for financial support.
We currently have three open beds and receive phone calls every day from hopeless women who are seeking freedom from their bondage. It is difficult for women on the street to provide the $5000 entrance payment while most of them resort to selling themselves just to make money to get high each day. Desperate women sell vehicles, and other possessions to come, others have family members still willing to support them and still others are often turned down because they do not have the money.
We ask that you would join us in this wonderful work that Christ is doing in these lives by financially supporting Blessed Hope with a donation. Our goal is to reach $50,000 dollars which can be used for scholarship money, operating costs and needs of the program.
Testimony
I came to Blessed Hope under the impression that I was nothing more than the product of a broken family, I had a father who was an alcoholic and a drug addict, I was in an abusive relationship with a man I thought loved me, and I was a drug addict. After coming to Blessed Hope and growing in my personal relationship with Jesus Christ, I now know I’m much more than that. Though people from my past called me worthless, the Lord says I’m priceless- and paid the ultimate price for my life. Ephesians 2:10, realizing I’m the workmanship- the masterpiece of Christ Jesus, not a product of my environment. My wrong perspective on life, and believing the lies the enemy told me about who I was, cost me everything. The image of the mother I once was, the daughter I wanted to be, the friend I hoped I could be, the sister I desired to be, was shattered. I have two children, a son and a daughter, whom I haven’t seen in almost a decade. While waiting trial for felonies I lost them and my mother passed away. He has since restored my hope for a future, as a mother, as a woman. Without Jesus, I was a hope to die drug addict. I have now been called to serve year in school of ministry, 2tim2:21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel of honor, sanctified and useful for the master, prepared for every good work. I am now pouring into women’s lives helping them understand their true worth in Jesus Christ and the true meaning of love. The life I now live I live in Christ. Because of one persons obedience to God many lives can be changed- if it wasn’t for the obedience of the woman who donated the money for me to be here I wouldn’t be where I am today. - Nicole Desrosiers
