Adoption for Dakota

My husband and I met during our AIT training in the Army. When he first met my daughter she was only 1 year old. From their very first meeting he took on the role of her father. He was her Daddy, he changed the diapers, he scared the monsters out from under the bed, and kissed the boo boos. She is now 8 years old, and the moment we have waited 7 years for is finally here. We have a lawyer and just need help covering the lawyers cost to begin the termination/ adoption process. My daughter is a very smart and mature 8 year old. I explain to her what is going on in the most honest yet simple way. The first thing she asked was if she would be able to change her last name like ours. She is genuinely excited. It would mean the absolute world for my family to legally be one family. Anything you donate to help with attourney fees would mean everything to us! Thank you!!
