Adam Robbins - NYC Half

Hey guys,

As you may know, I’m running the NYC half marathon this weekend. I did not get my entry through a charity team but figured it's a great opportunity to help raise money for a charity I have been involved with since I was a kid.

I’ve been a volunteer for the Five Towns Community Chest since 2003. Community Chest is an 85 year-old charitable organization that is all about neighbors helping neighbors. I grew up fortunate enough to participate in after school activities, extra curricular sports programs, educational classes, etc. Unfortunately, not everyone has the means to be an active member of the community like I was. Community Chest is a platform that offers aid and support for our neighbors to become involved in these types of local service organizations.
