Join us in making our family FOREVER.
Five years ago, I (Tina) traveled to Uganda to be a volunteer at orphanage. I signed up for a two year contract and a bit of adventure. This was supposed to simply be an adventure, a learning experience and change of scenery after nursing school. And that it was, but it was so much more. But I had no idea at the time how that one decision and step of faith would change the direction of my life. I fell in love.
While at the orphanage the Lord bound my heart to a little boy, and He kept whispering in my ear, this one is your son. But I was a single girl and not planning to stay in Uganda past the 2- year gig. At the end of contracted time, specifically the day before I got on the plane, the man I had been dating proposed. And a year later we got married right there in front of the Nile River. But that day, was the day our family began to grow. We are now full time missionaries in Uganda serving families.
Adoption had not really been on the mind of my husband, but the love for this same child was in his heart. We loved this child and long to bring him into our forever family. God has been writing this beautiful love story. He builds and designs families. He joined our family through love.
But here is still so much paperwork, court cases, visa applications, and interviews standing between us and forever.
Join us in this journey!
