Acadiana Military Heritage Sites

Donation protected
There is an interesting process related to the field of Acadian history to which I have devoted much of my life. I am not a specialist in military history but it has played a role in many of my projects. I have written features for local cultural magazines and newspapers and have a Master of Arts degree in history.

This campaign would fund historical research on military sites in Acadiana.  It would fund communication with various archaeological and survey resources and the storage of data. It would also defray some of my expenses. Should I cease to be involved in the World Heritage Site project the remaining funds would be divided equally between the World Heritage Site group's military research and my project.

The inspiration for this project comes from the start of a larger project directed in large part by a small group to which I am attached t in process for doing the groundwork for a Cajun World Heritage Site with the UNESCO recognition of such a project. One part of this project is a set of largely autonomous subcommittees which will focus on various aspects of the heritage region. I am the current head of the martial sites committee.

The benefits of an accurate preservation of Acadiana Military Heritage will be a better understanding of the way that the United States of America  was created and how it has been preserved. The funds need to be in place by 2021 to be most effective.
